Beauty and the Beast is a musical based of of a book by Linda Woolverton, produced by Disney Theatrical Productions music by Alan Menken and lyrics by Howard Ashman, additional lyrics by Tim Rice. Long ago there was a hansome young prince who cared for no one but himself. One day an enchantress discovered that he had no love in his heart and put him under a spell: she turned him into a hideious beast and gave him a rose, warning him that this rose would bloom for many years and If he hadn’t gotten a maiden to fall in love before the last pedal fell he would remain that way forever. Belle is a strong-willed village girl who enters the Beast’s castle while looking for her father, Maurice. With the help of his enchanted servants, Belle begins to draw the cold-hearted Beast out of his isolation, slowly she finds the kind heart within him and they fall in love with each other and break the spell.
